Your COMPLETE guide to
Mindful KETOGENIC nutrition as a way of life
Typically I work with women over 50 who find it harder to lose weight as they get older and they’re ready to make a change. They’re frustrated with being overweight, dealing with pain, feeling tired, and withdrawn. My clients have learned to make simple changes to regain their confidence and energy as they lose weight while still enjoying a glass of wine. Now they feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally and they’re excited about their future and they’ve improved the quality of their life.
Aging is inevitable…
how we age isn’t
I’ve spent 10 years studying and teaching the benefits of ketogenic nutrition. What I know for sure is that we’ve been lied to for the last 50 years. We were recommended to follow a SAD Standard American Diet to cure heart disease and reduce obesity. 50 years later we are fatter, sicker, and more over-medicated than ever before in our history. What if everything we’ve been told is a lie?
If you’re like me, you’ve spent most of your life on a diet and you’ve lost the same weight over and over again. But now that you’re over 50 it’s harder to lose the weight and keep it off and you’re about ready to give up. The only problem is you have a gnawing voice in the backyard of your head that worries about the changes in your health and your quality of life as you get older.
What we are not told and what the majority of people don’t understand is lowered insulin and inflammation can lead to a better quality of life. It's not just about living longer…It’s about living better. Insulin resistance and chronic inflammation are linked to various health problems, including type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and some types of cancer.
By managing insulin and inflammation through healthy lifestyle choices such as nutrition and exercise, we can improve our health outcomes and reduce our risk for chronic disease.
As Dr. Peter Attia puts it, "Longevity is not just about adding years to your life, it's about adding life to your years." By prioritizing our health and well-being, we can enjoy a better quality of life for the long haul.
Based on my last 9 years of studying and teaching ketogenic nutrition, the science proves there is a better way.

There are a few reasons why losing weight may become more challenging as we age. One reason is that our metabolism naturally slows down with age, meaning our body burns fewer calories at rest. Additionally, we may become less active as we age, leading to a decrease in muscle mass and further slowing down our metabolism. Hormonal changes, such as a decrease in estrogen and testosterone levels, can also affect our body composition and make it harder to lose weight. Finally, lifestyle factors such as stress, poor sleep habits, and unhealthy eating patterns can also contribute to weight gain and difficulty losing weight as we age. While it may be more challenging, it's certainly not impossible to lose weight as we get older. With a healthy diet, regular exercise, and good sleep habits, we can still achieve our weight loss goals at any age.

Education is important because it helps you understand the science behind nutrition and exercise. When you have a better understanding of what your body needs, you can make informed decisions that lead to better health outcomes. With so much conflicting information out there, it can be hard to know what to believe, so education helps you cut through the noise.

While medications and supplements can be helpful in some cases, they are not a substitute for a healthy diet and lifestyle. Many medications and supplements come with side effects and long-term health risks, and they do not address the root causes of weight gain and poor health. Education and coaching can help you make sustainable changes that will improve your health and wellbeing without relying on medication.
